Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli met his Real Madrid and Barcelona counterparts Florentino Perez and Joan Laporta in Las Vegas yesterday, possibly discussing the Super League.

The three clubs are the only ones still attached to the infamous Super League project, which looked to compete with UEFA’s Champions League. 12 clubs around Europe were announced to be joining last year before major outcry led to the Premier League teams pulling out, which then saw the others like Inter and Milan follow suit.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Agnelli was in Las Vegas for Juventus’ pre-season tour and he took the opportunity to have lunch with Perez and Laporta, who were also in the city for their pre-season work.

Despite the major fan outcry, the three clubs are remaining attached to the Super League project and it’s possible that the topic was discussed further in yesterday’s lunch. The proposal has now gone to court in Luxembourg and Perez told El Chiringuito last month, “of course it is still alive.”
