Juventus, Milan, Real Madrid and Barcelona haven’t formally left the competition as they could sue those who are quitting, as The Financial Times explained on Wednesday.
While UEFA President Aleksandar Ceferin insists the breakaway clubs could face sanctions, Florentino Perez considers suing the European football governing body.
Florentino believes UEFA can’t act as the organisers and the regulators of European competitions and reportedly wants to file an antitrust complaint.
He believes UEFA have a monopoly and is preventing clubs from creating alternative tournaments.
According to the report, the Madrid-based European Super League Company SL has not dissolved, and at least four clubs are still part of it.
