The Zhang family are ready to inject over €100m into Inter in order to maintain the club’s financial health, reports detail.

The Nerazzurri have seemingly been in a tough spot financially over the last few years, with the COVID pandemic heavily affecting owners Suning and their ability to provide backing to the Milanese club. Last year, Suning injected a shareholder loan of €75m, allocating part of the €275m borrowed from Oaktree for Inter and now they’re ready to further back the team.

As detailed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Suning want to continue investing in Inter to help keep them in the upper echelons of Italian football and they’re ready to inject more than €100m into the club, adding more breathing room to the budget.

Fans have recently expressed their discontent with the owners, asking Zhang to leave his position as president, and Suning hope this injection will help calm the waters a little, showing their commitment to the team.

Suning are still looking for buyers for the Nerazzurri and have given a mandate to a second investment back to help generate interest.

  1. Why is it that people make stupid unintelligent comments here. Surely people actually have lives away from here and have better things to do.

Cypher should be given the award for pointless comment of the year.
