The young midfielder was yesterday confirmed as an Old Lady player, joining from the Rossoblu, but has been loaned back to the Luigi Ferraris for another year.

“The important thing is to have arrived at Juventus, I am very happy,” Sturaro told Sky Sport 24.

“This year I am staying at Genoa, I will give everything to show my affection and attitude towards these colours, in order to show that I belong at Juventus.

“The match against Juventus this season? I will give even more, the Juventus fans and directors will be at that match. It will be an important opportunity to show my worth.”

Sturaro was then asked to name his footballing role models.

“At Juventus, definitely Pirlo. At Genoa, Matuzalem.”
