Jens Stryger-Larsen reportedly rejected a move to Galatasaray after Udinese had accepted the €5m fee.

Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia had suggested last night that a deal was imminent, as the two clubs had basically agreed the transfer for circa €5m.

The only remaining issue was for the Denmark international to work out personal terms.

However, Sky Sport Italia report this evening that Stryger-Larsen has absolutely no intention of moving to Turkey and called off the negotiations without even needing to discuss wages.

Galatasaray have not wasted any time, as they’ve already snapped up Rennes right-back Sacha Boey instead.

Stryger-Larsen is 30 years old and has been at Udinese since 2017, but his current contract is due to expire at the end of the current campaign.

He impressed for Denmark at UEFA EURO 2020, reaching the semi-final, and has two goals in 42 senior caps.

The versatile wing-back has amassed 140 games in the Udinese jersey, with five goals and eight assists in all competition.
