Ahead of the match against Sampdoria in Liguria tomorrow, the Crotone coach seemed pleased with the recent performances.

Crotone arrive from four points in their last two games – a 4-1 win over Spezia and a 0-0 draw with Udinese – and the coach said they are starting to find their feet in the top division.

“It has been a few weeks, beyond the results that arrived in the last two games, that the team have shown they have settled in the championship,” Stroppa said at a press conference.

“On some occasions we have been forced to sacrifice a more prudent defensive phase, it’s surely positive that we are getting the results and in the last game we didn’t concede.

“That’s something to start from. A turning point? Let’s see, we have to count when there are close matches, let’s see who guarantees me mental and physical qualities.

“But, I must say that the team are growing and it gives me more alternatives.”

Crotone are bottom ahead of the match against the Blucerchiati and are four points away from safety after 12 rounds.
