Giovanni Stroppa claims Crotone need new signings and some luck in order to earn Serie A survival.

The newly promoted Serie A side lost 2-1 away at Hellas Verona on Sunday.

“We didn’t play as well as we usually do in the first half,” Stroppa told Sky Sport.

“It’s not easy to face Verona, I am happy with the reaction, but we know where we need to improve,” he added.

The Sharks sit at the bottom of the Serie A table, five points short off the 17th placement.

“We can reach the teams ahead of us, but we must have the skills to do it. We always do good things, but we don’t take the points. We must believe we can make it, I am sure we can get satisfactions.

“I expect some luck with episodes and I don’t want to talk about transfers, but I believe the team must be reinforced.”
