“We’ll again be facing one of the form teams in Serie A at the moment,” said the coach in his press conference after Sunday’s 6-2 defeat to Inter.

“Roma have a lot of quality, work hard all over the field and can pour several men forward on the counter-attack as well as dominating possession. We have to congratulate Paulo Fonseca, who has made big changes since he first arrived.”

Luca Cigarini and Ahmad Benali are still out of action, while Stroppa warned Koffi Djidji requires ‘patience’ to reach full fitness.

“We used up a lot of energy against Inter, and this will be another draining encounter, so there could be some fresh legs.

“The team learned a great deal from the defeat to Inter, as we conceded goals with alarming ease and should’ve had a different attitude when defending. However, the first half performance showed what we can do and we could’ve earned a very different result without that lapse in concentration.

“We’ve got to keep the right attitude against Roma throughout the game and a victory could see us climb up the table.”
