Roma have released a Kevin Strootman update, confirming the midfielder’s recovery is on schedule.
The Dutch international has been plagued by knee problems, making just six appearances between last season and this term.
“Kevin Strootman had a planned medical examination today to check up on his recovery from injury,” a statement on the Giallorossi’s official website announced.
“Strootman, who on September 1 underwent arthroscopic surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee, is recovering as planned.

“He is undergoing regular physiotherapy treatment and training in the gym and out on the pitch, where on Friday he had a running session.
“The Giallorossi midfielder, who has made 25 appearances for the Dutch national side, played his last competitive match for Roma on January 25, 2015, in the League draw with Fiorentina.
