Croatia international Ivan Strinic confirmed “I am about to become a Napoli player” after his contract with Dnipro expires.

He will be a free agent on January 1 and has also been linked with Dynamo Kiev.

“I am about to become a Napoli player, but the negotiations are not entirely completed yet,” Strinic told Sportske Novost.

According to Il Mattino newspaper and Croatian media Slobodna Dalmacija, Strinic will put pen to paper on a contract with Napoli on Monday.

He could well fly in for his medical tomorrow and agree the final personal terms on wages worth €1.6m per season growing to €1.9m over the three-and-a-half years.
