Cardiologist Bruno Caru claims Ivan Strinic ‘needs to rest for at least 3-4 months’ after the Milan left-back was diagnosed with a heart problem.

Milan confirmed on Saturday that Strinic had suffered ‘initial hypertrophy of the cardiac muscle’, and Caru does not expect the Croatian to return before next year.

“To understand which type of hypertrophy Strinic has, he needs to rest for at least 3-4 months,” he told Tuttosport.

“To understand which type of hypertrophy Strinic has, he needs to rest for at least 3-4 months,” he told Tuttosport.

“A shorter period would not make sense, unless in the next four weeks the player isn’t subjected to more detailed specialist tests, which can prevent the most serious pathology of cardiac hypertrophy.”
