Cristian Zaccardo expressed his joy at signing for Milan, while Parma confirm Rodney Strasser is part of the deal along with Djamel Mesbah.
“How happy am I from 1 to 10? 10!” grinned the 31-year-old right-back after putting pen to paper on a contract until June 2017.
It had until now been considered a straight swap between Zaccardo and Mesbah, but this evening it has emerged that Milan midfielder Strasser could also be included.
“We are finalising the exchange,” said Parma general manager Pietro Leonardi at Milan’s HQ.
“Strasser? The negotiations are at an advanced stage. I think we can try to close the deal, although there are still some things to talk about.”
Hoffenheim visited Parma this week to make an offer for Amauri, but Leonardi reveals there were other options.
“We do not want to weaken the side, so Amauri is staying with us. Hoffenheim’s primary objective was Gabriel Paletta. If an offer we could not turn down arrived, then we would consider it.”
