Andrea Stramaccioni’s experience in Iran with Esteghlal FC could be over already, with reports he’ll terminate his contract by mutual consent.

The former Inter and Udinese Coach only signed on June 13, with a contract that was meant to run to June 2022.

However, according to Tuttomercatoweb, the tactician and agent Federico Pastorello are in talks with Esteghlal to break off the deal before the season even begins.

However, according to Tuttomercatoweb, the tactician and agent Federico Pastorello are in talks with Esteghlal to break off the deal before the season even begins.

Stramaccioni is seemingly irritated at the breakdown in negotiations for several players he had requested, including Manuel Pucciarelli and Boukary Drame.

He feels the club did not maintain its promises to strengthen the squad.

The Persian Gulf Pro League side did bring in former Benevento striker Cheick Diabate.

This would be another disappointing chapter in Stramaccioni’s career, which had started so well in the Roma and Inter youth teams.

He was promoted to the main Inter job in March 2012 and lasted until May 2013, then spent the 2014-15 campaign at Udinese.

It was all downhill from there, with brief spells at Panathinaikos, Sparta Prague and now Esteghlal.
