New Inter Coach Andrea Stramaccioni had almost been appointed by Dynamo Bucharest, but “lacked the requisite curriculum.”

The 36-year-old tactician was promoted from the Primavera youth team to the main job last week after Claudio Ranieri’s dismissal.

“I have known Stramaccioni since he was at the Roma youth academy and he has won numerous titles with his teams,” agent Victor Becali told Dolce Sport.

“I wanted to bring him to Bucharest, but when I proposed him to owner Cristi Borcea, he asked who he had previously trained. That was the problem in Romania, as he lacked the requisite curriculum.

“I am thoroughly convinced that Stramaccioni will become a great Coach.”
