The 38-year-old is widely reported as having reached agreement with the Zebrette this week to come in as Francesco Guidolin’s successor, after the club’s talks with Gigi Del Neri broke down at the last moment last week.

Gianluca Di Marzio’s website is running the line that the tactician is now expected in Milan to meet with Inter officials and sign off on a resolution to end his contract with them, which had been running since his dismissal 12 months ago.
It is believed that once that agreement is set, Stramaccioni will then put pen to paper on one with Udinese, to commit to a two-year contract.
