Andrea Stramaccioni is the favourite to take over from Francesco Guidolin at Udinese, reports suggest.

The 38-year-old has been out of the game since leaving Inter exactly a year ago, but Il Messaggero Veneto claim that the Zebrette are keen to give the youngster another break, and want him to take on the mantle left by Guidolin.

The Friuli legend announced his departure from football last week after a disappointing season with the north-eastern side.

And the Pozzo family, who own Udinese, are thought to be lining up a potential move for Stramaccioni as soon as next week.

One stumbling block however, could be the Coach’s pay packet. The paper believes that Stramaccioni is still being paid by the Nerazzurri, after failing to reach a settlement package and under contract.

The San Siro side are, apparently, paying the tactician €1.3m per year, a fee too high for Udinese.

But the club remain confident they can persuade Strama to break ties with Inter and join this summer.
