Juventus are reportedly deciding between Nicola Leali and Ivan Pelizzoli to replace Marco Storari as Gianluigi Buffon’s deputy.

It is speculated that the Old Lady is prepared to allow Storari to leave this summer, having been unimpressed with his performances when called upon to replace Buffon.

Reports are that the club are considering a choice between Leali and Pelizzoli as coming in to act as No 2.

Juve-owned Leali has impressed whilst out on loan at Lanciano this term and is seen as the club’s long-term successor to Buffon.

Whilst the Bianconeri are considering bringing him back to act as understudy, they reportedly would prefer seeing the 20-year-old spend at least another year as a starter elsewhere, perhaps in Serie A too.

Should that prove the case, then the club are looking at journeyman Pelizzoli to come in.

The 32-year-old former Atalanta, Roma and Reggina ‘keeper last year was back-up to Mattia Perin at relegated Pescara.
