However, reports over the last couple of days suggest both player and club were unimpressed with the proposal.

This morning, La Nazione states that Jese has chosen Stoke City as his next destination after they made a sudden surge forward in negotiations and offered to buy him outright.

He was signed from Real Madrid last summer for €25m, but lasted only six months in Paris before being shipped out on loan to Las Palmas.
