Marcelo Estigarribia is hoping to do enough in the last few months of the season to earn a Juventus future.

The Paraguayan is currently on loan from Uruguayan outfit Deportivo Maldonado after impressing at last summer’s Copa America.

“The boy is on loan, but with an option to buy,” agent Giuseppe Addamiano told TMW on Wednesday morning.

“Juventus need to make a decision before the end of the season. It will cost them €5m, plus a bonus, to keep him but we don’t yet know the intention of the club.”

The midfielder, who is being tipped to start wide left in Juve’s 3-5-2 against Milan tonight, has scored one goal in 10 Serie A appearances so far this term.

“The player is really happy with the environment at Juventus,” continued the representative. “He’s also pleased with the way he is growing – especially defensively.

“He’s delighted with the choice he made and he’d make it again seeing as Juventus are a great club to be playing your football for.”
