The Giallorossi patron supports the proposal of only two teams relegating to Serie B if the second tier will struggle to complete the normal season, including play-offs to promote a third team this year.

“We are all convinced that we have to start again,” Sticchi Damiani told Radio Anch’io Sport. “We voted on what to do in the event of a new stop, a scenario that’s absolutely not desired.

“We challenged verdicts that were not already decided or asked to limit the relegations to two teams if Serie B can’t assign a third promotion through the play-offs.

“If Serie B concludes with three promotions, nothing changes compared to the usual.”

Lecce sit 18th in Serie A after 26, only behind Genoa on goal difference, and will resume against Milan on June 22.
