Lecce secured promotion to Serie A last season and are currently 16th in the League with 12 games remaining.

With a five-point gap down to Genoa at 18th and the relegation zone, the Giallorossi have fate in their own hands and Sticchi Damiani has revealed that Liverani wants to continue what he has started in Puglia.

“He is intrigued by the possibility of continuing with us and with the project that we have been carrying out since 2017.

“Before we focused on promotions and now, we hope to stay up.”

Lecce are back in action on Friday March 13 against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.
