Coach Roberto Stellone admits 'Genoa deserved their victory', but believes the result doesn't do justice to Frosinone's performance.
Serie A's second-to-last team held on for almost a full half of the game, before being overwhelmed by Suso's hat trick and losing 4-0.
“It's a shame about the result, considering the way we played in the second half,” Stellone told the Press. “In the first half we were excellent, and we conceded a goal in Genoa's only shot on goal.
“On the 2-0 we lost cohesion. The Grifone's victory was deserved, it's just a shame about us.
“We did well in the first half, but at the end of the day the lower section of the standings remains unchanged.
“For a while now we'd been allowing very little to our opponents, and we conceded only a few goals.
“We still have the same possibilities of escaping relegation as we did at the beginning, but now it's a three-horse race between ourselves, Palermo and Carpi.
“Udinese and Atalanta are now out of the heat.”
