Antonio Conte’s assistant once again spoke to Sky Sport after the game as the Inter coach hasn’t yet spoken to the media since Inter won the title.

Conte reportedly wants to avoid off-the-pitch matters, therefore he let his assistant talk.

“We continued to celebrate, for us it was important to come here and bring our serenity. The team did what we had to, regardless of the episodes,” Stellini said after Inter’s 3-2 defeat against Juventus.

The referee managed to infuriate both teams with a red card each as Juventus beat Inter 3-2.

“It’s not up to us to discuss what happened. It’s all clear. It’s useless to comment,” Stellini said.

“We have the joy of the Scudetto, we tried to win, we are happy with the performance of our lads. It’s not down to me to comment.

“There were many incidents, it would be reductive to focus on one only. We wanted to come here and honour the game and the title we won, proving to be the best team.

“The lads played a great game, it could have gone better. There is always room for improvement. Last season we reached the Europa League Final and finished runner-ups in Serie A. This season we won the title.”

What do Inter need to do to improve next season?

“We need to improve the approach to big games and to Champions League games, we need to raise the bar. We have created so many goal-scoring opportunities this season, but we should have been more clinical. Experience is crucial. It helps to play high-level games.

“We are enjoying our moment, we have one more week to prove we are the best team in the league, we are serene, and we are having the right mentality."

According to Sky Sport Italia pundits, Lautaro Martinez was one of the best players on the pitch.

“Lautaro is similar to Aguero, he has so much room for improvement, he’s improved a lot and he always helps the team,” Stellini said.

“We would need to put ice on our heads if we listened to all the rumours, we must keep hold of him.”
