The Giallorossi have now released a statement confirming Stekelenburg “is unavailable for tomorrow's game against Siena after suffering a muscle strain in training this morning. Tomas Svedkauskas will take his place in the match day squad.
“The Dutch international will undergo tests in the coming days to determine the extent of his injury.”
Either Mauro Goicoechea or Bogdan Lobont will start against Siena.
