Standard Liege are reportedly in talks with Inter as they work to find an agreement for talented forward Eddie Salcedo.

The 20-year-old Italian forward spent last season loan with Spezia, where he struggled to make an impact due to an extremely limited number of opportunities. Salcedo only made 12 Serie A appearances, five of which were starts, and his development began to stall a little as he remained sidelined.

As reported by SportItalia, Standard Liege are interested in picking up Salcedo this summer and are currently in talks with Inter. Things have slowed recently as the two parties disagree regarding the inclusion of a buy option on a loan deal.

Updates are expected soon, with the Belgian side keen to make a move for the 20-year-old Italian before this month’s transfer window ends.

Inter have already given up some youth talents this summer in a bid to resolve some financial concerns; Andrea Pinamonti joined Sassuolo in a deal worth around €20m and Cesare Casadei will complete a €20m total move to Chelsea this week.
