The local council in Naples has given the all-clear to start €14m worth of restyling works on the Stadio San Paolo, the home of Napoli.
There are already other works in progress to improve the toilet facilities, floodlights and athletics track.
The newly-approved action will involve replacement of the seats to fit UEFA standards and refurbishment for the stands.
This €14m part of the project will be funded by the Universiadi junior athletics tournament.

It’ll change the capacity to around 55,000 with more comfortable seating that will have different colours in various areas of the stadium.
They will be in various shades of blue, reflecting the colours of Napoli football club.
The entrances and exits will be improved also for those with mobility issues.
There will be the introduction of reinforced glass barriers, allowing for greater visibility.
