L’Equipe reports St. Etienne could hijack Genoa’s bid to sign M’baye Niang.
The former Milan striker has one goal in 12 appearances with Rennes so far this season and Genoa had been linked with a move to sign him in January.
Gianluca Scamacca could return to Sassuolo or join Juventus in the winter transfer window and Niang would be the replacement for the Italian striker.
According to L’Equipe, however, St.Etienne are challenging the Grifone for the signing of the 26-year-old.
