“I said we could win the Scudetto, but it was the joke of a fan and they took me seriously,” Squinzi told Il Giornale.

“I said we could win the Scudetto, but it was the joke of a fan and they took me seriously,” Squinzi told Il Giornale.
“I don’t think this side is capable of winning the title, but I do say we can get into the Europa League. We might even do better if it means going above Inter. As an old Milan supporter, I’d like to be in front of them.
“The old model of Italian teams as a mosaic made up of many different foreigners doesn’t pay off any more. Look at what’s happening in England, where most of the players come from tiny countries all over the world.
“Sassuolo have few foreign players and those who are here speak very good Italian. Above all, they understand what Coach Eusebio Di Francesco asks of them.”
The undoubted star of the Neroverdi is 21-year-old Domenico Berardi, who this weekend received his first senior Italy call-up.
“At the end of the season, Juventus can activate their option on him. If they want him then they have the right to take him away, but only for a sum above €25m.
“Otherwise, he will continue to wear our lovely shirt.”
