Lazio defender Luiz Felipe has reportedly caught the eye of Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks.

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Coach Mauricio Pochettino is looking at Luiz Felipe due to concerns over the long-term future of Toby Alderweireld.

The 22-year-old has an Italian passport and recently turned down the opportunity to represent the Azzurri at Under-21 level as he is waiting for a call-up to the Brazil squad.

He has played 19 times for the Biancocelesti this season, finding the back of the net once, and would cost somewhere around the £17m (€19.6m) mark.

Spurs also like Sampdoria’s Joachim Andersen and Everton’s Michael Keane, but both players would cost in the region of €50m and Luiz Felipe is seen as a cheaper alternative.
