Italy Sports Minister Andrea Abodi reacts to a video from 2019 showing the Turin prosecutor behind the Prisma investigation saying: ‘I am a Napoli fan and I hate Juventus.’
Ciro Santoriello is one of the Turin Prosecutors looking into Juventus’ finances which led the FIGC Court of Appeals to re-open a case against the Old Lady for inflated transfer values, handing a 15-point deduction.
There is a second sporting trial that could take place in the coming months regarding the Bianconeri’s salaries which has also been conducted following the criminal investigation from the Turin Prosecutor.
A video dating back to 2019 going viral on social media shows Santoriello admitting to being a Napoli fan, adding that he hates Juventus.
It has caused outrage in Italy and infuriated Juventus fans, prompting Italy Sports Minister Andrea Abodi to release a brief statement on social media.
“I have seen, heard and reported, respecting everyone’s role for the proper checks and evaluations. For now, I think it is correct that I stop here,” Abodi wrote on Twitter.
Juventus face Salernitana away this evening. Following their 15-point deduction, the Bianconeri are now 16 points below a Champions League placement and only nine above the relegation zone.
