Just days after hijacking Roma’s move for Malcom, Barcelona have reportedly agreed a deal for Inter target Arturo Vidal.

Inter were reportedly confident of fending off late interest from Barca, but their decision to study the potential signing of Luka Modric appears to have let in the Catalans.

Catalan daily Sport claims the Blaugrana have found ‘a verbal agreement’ with the former Juventus midfielder, with Sky Sport Italia adds they are ‘a step away’ from signing the 30-year-old.

Sport explains Barca first reached out to the Chilean ‘a week ago’ and ‘quickly reached a pact’ over his salary, as well as a €30m fee with Bayern Munich.

Vidal, who could even travel to Barcelona ‘in the coming hours’ for a medical, emerged as a fresh target for Ernesto Valverde’s side after negotiations for Paris Saint-Germain’s Adrien Rabiot stalled.
