Nicolas Spolli could be facing retrospective action from the authorities after appearing to kick Fiorentina’s Ryder Matos in the head.
The Catania defender was duelling along the touchline with the Brazilian forward early in the second half of their League encounter on Sunday, before the latter fell under Spolli’s attention.
Then, with Matos on the ground, Spolli appears through replays to deliberately catch Matos on the back of the head with his right boot.

Whilst occurring right in front of the assistant referee, no action was taken at the time, but reports in Italy today expect video action to be taken against the Argentine for the episode.
