Nicolas Spolli’s agent insists the Catania defender “did not insult” Mario Balotelli or use racist language.
The pair clashed during Sunday’s 3-1 Milan victory at the Stadio Massimino and Balotelli reportedly accused the Argentine defender of using a racist insult towards him.
“We are relaxed, as there are no problems and there were no insults,” representative Daniele Luzzi told TMW.
“There could well have been moments of irritation, as can happen during a game, but Nicolas did not insult anyone.
“It’s easy for some to think there were heavy insults used, but not even the Milan players heard anything of the sort.
“Nicolas is not worried about this. He is only worried about Catania’s situation in the table.”
