Leonardo Spinazzola is set to undergo Achilles tendon surgery today and, it is reported, he will attend the EURO Final at Wembley Stadium if Italy beat Spain.

Spinazzola is facing six months on the sidelines with an Achilles tendon injury.

The 28-year-old will undergo surgery in Finland today and return to Rome tomorrow when Roberto Mancini’s side face Spain in the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2020 at Wembley Stadium.

Spinazzola was one of Italy’s best players at the Euros, being awarded MVP in two of Azzurri’s five games in the competition.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Spinazzola is expected to attend the EURO 2020 Final at Wembley if the Azzurri manage to book their place by beating Spain in the semis.

Roberto Mancini’s side face La Roja at Wembley tomorrow and, if they emerge as winners, Spinazzola will take a private flight with his agent Davide Lippi to fly to London for the Final on Sunday, July 11.
