Leonardo Spinazzola rues wasted Italy opportunities in a 1-1 draw with the Netherlands, but they have ‘every reason to feel confident.’

The Azzurri dropped to second in their Nations League group after three draws in four games, as Poland beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 3-0 this evening.

“We could’ve done more to increase our lead, as we were 1-0 up and had many opportunities to make it 2-0, so we need to do better in those situations,” Spinazzola told RAI Sport.

“The Netherlands are a great team with a lot of quality, but they changed to 3-5-2 because we caused them so many problems last time when they had four at the back, so that shows how much they were concerned.

“We are a good side with a lot of youth mixed with experience, quality and hard work, so we can improve and keep getting stronger. We’ve every reason to feel confident.”
