The time seems to have come for Leonardo Spinazzola, who is hoping to make his return to action in Roma’s match against Bologna tomorrow.

The 29-year-old Italian full back has spent the entire season sidelined following an Achilles tendon rupture during Italy’s Euro 2020 campaign last summer. Earlier this month Spinazzola finally made a return to the match day squad, sitting on the bench for the last three league outings, but he’s still not played a single minute this season.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Spinazzola may finally take his first steps on the pitch this season in tomorrow’s game against Bologna. The fans are eager and waiting for him at the Stadio Olimpico, ready to welcome back their player.

It’s incredibly unlikely that Spinazzola will play more than a handful of minutes against the Rossoblu, should he come on, but it would still be a special moment for the Euro 2020 winner.
