Italy international and Roma left-back Leonardo Spinazzola is getting closer to his comeback after tearing the Achilles tendon during UEFA EURO 2020.
The 28-year-old had been an essential part of the Azzurri squad for that tournament and was heading towards Player of the Tournament status until pulling up with a torn Achilles tendon during the quarter-final against Belgium on July 2.
The devastating injury was expected to keep him out for seven to nine months.
However, Roma released a video today of Spinazzola running and it suggests his comeback could be sooner than the original late December target.
