The Aquilotti are in desperate need of points ahead of this Friday’s game and these Spezia vs. Monza predictions. The hosts sit just one point clear of the relegation zone and come up against a Biancorossi team in fine form.

Spezia vs. Monza odds

1 – Monza to win– 7/4

2 – Over 1.5 goals scored – 12/11

3 – Both teams to score  – 5/6

4 – Mbala Nzola to score anytime- 2/1

5 – The match to finish in a draw – 26/11

Monza travel to the Stadio Alberto Picco on Friday evening to take on a struggling Spezia side. The visitors have been in fantastic form recently and could break into the top half of the Serie A table with a win on match day 32.

Raffaele Palladino’s side go into this round of fixtures off the back of wins against Inter and Fiorentina, further improving confidence among the Biancorossi. To make matters even better for the visitors this weekend, they face a side with the second worst form in Serie A.

Spezia have failed to win 12 out of their last 13 league matches, despite playing against the likes of Sampdoria and Verona in recent weeks. As a result, it would be a surprise to see anything other than an away win on Friday evening, despite the odds favouring neither side ahead of kick-off.

The two sides have only faced off once in the top division, with all previous meetings taking place in the Lega Pro. The match earlier this season ended 2-0 to Monza, and there is a high likelihood of even more goals being scored at the Stadio Alberto Picco, with the gulf between the two sides further than ever. A wager on over 2.5 goals scored may therefore provide a return.

That being said, Friday’s clash is by no means a foregone conclusion. Despite scoring three against Fiorentina last weekend, Monza are without a prolific goalscorer and it is Spezia player Mbala Nzola who is favourite to score ahead of the game.

Nzola has bagged 13 goals already this season and despite currently failing to register in his last two, the forward’s form is enough to recommend a punt on both teams to score at the Alberto Picco.

Should the Angolan get back to scoring ways on Friday, Spezia could well secure their 13th draw of the campaign, which would be the most in the league this season.

Spezia team news

Daniele Verde is expected to start on Friday having scored off the bench last weekend after replacing the injured Daniel Maldini. Ethan Ampadu is available once again having served his suspension, but may start on the bench against Monza. Joao Moutinho, Emil Holm and Petar Zovko all remain sidelined through injury.

Monza team news

Few, if any, changes are expected from Raffaele Palladino following his side’s comeback against Fiorentina last time out. Stefano Sensi is fit once again, but is unlikely to break into the midfield, with Matteo Pessina and Nicolo Rovella the preferred partnership.
