Spezia are reportedly in advanced talks with Barcelona to sign Rey Manaj.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Thiago Motta’s side are in advanced talks to sign the former Inter and Pescara striker.

Fabrizio Romano reports Spezia expect to complete the deal in the next few hours.

Manaj made his Serie A debut with Inter in August 2015 under Roberto Mancini. He scored his only two Serie A goals in 2016 with Pescara.

The striker has collected 16 appearances in Serie A and 17 in Serie B.

He also played for Pisa in Italy’s Serie C, scoring two goals in 17 appearances in 2017. That same year, he joined Granada from the Nerazzurri on loan before completing a permanent move to Albacete.

This past July, he scored a hat-trick in Barcelona’s first summer friendly.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cagliari are also considering the 24-year-old, but Spezia are believed to be ahead in the race to sign the Albania international.
