Spezia announce that Arkadiusz Reca has tested positive for COVID-19 and is in self-isolation at home.

The Poland international was already out of action for several weeks with a muscular injury, so was not training with his teammates.

A statement confirms Reca began to suffer from flu-like symptoms, so was given a test at his home that came back positive for COVID-19.

Reca is already self-isolating at his home, as per the protocol.

It is another case of COVID-19 in Serie A, after France internationals Adrien Rabiot of Juventus and Milan‘s Theo Hernandez.

Players can still test positive for COVID even if they have been fully-vaccinated, but will be protected from more serious effects of the virus.
