The relegation play-off between Hellas Verona and Spezia will be held on Sunday June 11 at the Dacia Arena in Udine.
The Serie A rules changed this season, so that if two teams were tied for either the Scudetto or relegation, then head-to-head record would not be used to decide position.
Instead, it will go down to a play-off on neutral turf.
Verona and Spezia will therefore face off at the Dacia Arena in Udine on Sunday June 11 at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).
It is going to be a one-off game and if it is not decided after 90 minutes, it will go straight to a penalty shoot-out without the need for extra time.
The loser will go down to Serie B with Cremonese and Sampdoria.
Other options had been mentioned for the neutral venue, including Florence, Lecce and Reggio Emilia.
It will be the first relegation play-off in Serie A since the 2004-05 campaign, when Parma sent Bologna down.
