Genoa in talks to sign Spence on a permanent transfer from Tottenham
According to Fabrizio Romano, talks between the two parties are ongoing as both Genoa and Tottenham want to reach an agreement before the end of the month.
This suggests Genoa may not use their clause to sign Spence permanently but would rather discuss different terms.
Genoa director Marco Ottolini has confirmed that the club want to keep both Spence and Vitinha in 2024-25.
“We are talking with the clubs and with the players and the idea is to keep them here. Spence has quality worthy of the Champions League and unexpressed potential. Vitinha needs one season to relaunch himself and Genoa is the right place to do so.”
The Portuguese forward is on loan at Marassi from Olympique Marseille.
Ottolini confirmed to Il Secolo XIX that Genoa are also interested in Juventus‘ midfielder Fabio Miretti.
