SPAL’s Semplici out of hospital

SPAL boss Leonardo Semplici has been released from hospital after undergoing emergency surgery.

Semplici needed an operation to remove an intestinal blockage last Monday and spent the week in hospital.

However, SPAL’s official website confirmed on Tuesday that the Coach had returned home, with his health ‘restored’, although he will now observe a period of recovery.

However, SPAL’s official website confirmed on Tuesday that the Coach had returned home, with his health ‘restored’, although he will now observe a period of recovery.

The 51-year-old took over the Ferrara-based club in 2014 and led them to successive promotions, while they currently sit 15th in Serie A, five points clear of the relegation zone.
