Luciano Spalletti believes Napoli deserved a penalty kick for a foul of Fikayo Tomori on Victor Osimhen: ‘But we don’t make noise as Milan do.’
The Rossoneri beat Napoli 1-0 at the Stadio Maradona last night, climbing to the top of the table. They have a two-point lead over Inter, who have a game in hand, while Napoli are now third, three points off the top spot.
During his post-match interview with DAZN, Spalletti praised Milan’s defending, saying that the Azzurri conceded an ‘avoidable goal.’
Spalletti warns Napoli after Milan loss: ‘If you can’t handle pressure…’
He didn’t mention a potential penalty incident in the first half when Tomori could have been punished for a foul on Osimhen. The Tuscan tactician was asked his thoughts on the missed penalty call and didn’t seem to be impressed by Daniele Orsato’s decision. Milan had also seen a penalty appeal rejected
“The Milan one wasn’t a penalty, but the one for Napoli was clear,” said Spalletti.
“The thing is, we don’t make noise, while Milan do,” he added, probably referring to Milan’s protests during the match.
