Luciano Spalletti was all smiles after Napoli’s relaxed 3-0 friendly win over Juve Stabia, praising new signings Giacomo Raspadori, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovanni Simeone.

The Partenopei showed off their new signings to the fans this evening at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, taking on Juve Stabia in a friendly ahead of this weekend’s match against Fiorentina. After a balanced first half, Napoli finally broke the deadlock in the second 45 minutes, with Ndbomele, Giuseppe Ambrosino and Alessio Zerbin all finding the back of the net.

Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli after the match, Spalletti first reacted to the friendly win and their reception of the fans.

“Great atmosphere at the stadium, the presence of the fans today underlines their love for these colours. We have to show them the love they give us and repay it.

“Juve Stabia were very good on the pitch, they made the game difficult and this is thanks to Colucci, who knows how to do his job.

“We had doubts about the condition of a few players and this match highlighted that. We started off poorly and slowly we started to solidify.”

The Italian coach then gave his thoughts on new signings Raspadori and Simeone.

“He showed all the speed that distinguishes him, he showed his trademarks, he cut inside several times and showed everyone his enormous technical skills.

“Also Cholito showed all his strengths, overflowing in the counter attacks and displaying great physical strength.

“It was a very good training session and after extrapolating the data we will see specifically what we need to improve in the coming sessions.”

Spalletti reacted to Ndbomele’s first goal for the club. The Frenchman joined the club on a loan deal from Tottenham last week.

“He showed and displayed all the quality he has with that goal of his. We lost our measurements at times, we have to work together because that allows you to have a better understanding in some situations. Sometimes we needed to run backwards and we have to work on that.”

Finally, Spalletti discussed his expectations ahead of the next Serie A clash against Fiorentina.

“There’s a desire to do well and give our best. The Viola are uncomfortable customers and we have to be able to handle the match well.”
