Luciano Spalletti warns his Roma players that Austria Vienna “are not easy to deal with” and targets a Francesco Totti milestone.
The Giallorossi take on the Austrian side in the Europa League tomorrow night, and the Coach won’t be taking it lightly.
“They’re not an easy team to deal with, my players know that and it will be evident,” Spalletti explained in his pre-match Press conference.
“There’s [Olarenwaju] Kayode who is very fast and can cause problems. They have [Ismael] Tajouri who has five goals and has an outstanding left foot. He hasn’t played a lot, and if he’s not injured I imagine he’ll play.
“We absolutely need to come up with another performance and another win, the team I choose – never mind that we don’t have many players – will not be weak.
“If someone doesn't deserve to play I won’t settle for them, because that’s how you lose games.
“I’m convinced we’ll have another good performance, I saw the players with the right mentality yesterday.”
Spalletti was then asked if Totti will play tomorrow, and revealed Er Pupone can hit a milestone tomorrow.
“I don’t know if it’s something that only I care about, but I can tell you something extra, given the sense of your questions.
“With me he’s scored 99 goals, so if he gets another then he’ll have 100. I care about that. If you look at the numbers, it will also be his 100th European game.
“Francesco Totti will play, he can make a contribution.”
