The Sporting Judge has given Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti a two-match ban and fined Nicolò Zaniolo for diving.

Spalletti was given his marching order for dissent in the second half of Sassuolo-Napoli last night.

The Sporting Judge has handed him a two-match ban, meaning he won’t be on the bench when Napoli face Atalanta and Empoli in the next two Serie A games at the Stadio Maradona.

The Sporting Judge has also fined Roma starlet Nicolò Zaniolo €2,000 for diving. Referee Luca Pairetto had booked the Italy international in the match against Bologna which Roma lost 1-0.

Tammy Abraham and Rick Karsdorp received one yellow card each during the match, so they were handed a one-match ban and won’t be available against Inter on Saturday.

José Mourinho was not impressed by Luca Pairetto’s refereeing and reportedly confronted the 37-year-old in the tunnel after the match at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

  1. I hope Zaniolo takes this to heart. Everybody knows he is turning into a professional diver and flopper. It’s sad to see. Mou might be right in that this might fly in some other league but it obvious the kid dives like jack grealish.
