“Lautaro is in good shape, he trained with the team and is ready to play from the first minute,” confirmed the Coach in his Press conference.

Considering the youngster only really got regular playing time during Icardi’s absence, will Spalletti try using the two Argentines together?

“When you have top players, you find a solution. They seem pretty similar to me, both fox-in-the-box centre-forwards. It’s pretty natural to adapt.

“It’s no different to choosing between Cedric Soares and Danilo D’Ambrosio, or Stefan de Vrij and Joao Miranda and any other situation.”

Frosinone have been in the bottom two all season, but are coming off two consecutive Serie A victories.

“Marco Baroni has shown himself to be an excellent Coach and psychologist, because you don’t beat Fiorentina on their own turf unless you’re doing something right. Frosinone are confident and enthusiastic, believing they can get a result against us.

“I have four or five players who haven’t had much room lately, but I try to keep everyone under consideration.”

This could be a pivotal weekend in the race for a Champions League spot, as Milan and Lazio face off with each other.

“Every weekend will feel like that from now on, but we must focus only on our own results and not make the mistake of thinking otherwise. We need to see the Inter that has been playing recently, which is capable of beating anybody and knows every result can make the difference tat this stage of the season.”

There continue to be reports that Spalletti will be replaced at the end of the season, but he is not interested in gossip.

“I already met with the club and we decided not to have regrets for this season. Everything else will come as a consequence of recent results.

“We’ve got to give our all and there is no time to be complacent. No regrets is the most important motto I can think of right now.”
