Roma boss Luciano Spalletti has launched a scathing attack on Netherlands for their treatment of Kevin Strootman. “They massacred him”.
Strootman remained a substitute for the entirety of Roma’s 3-3 draw with Austria Vienna in the Europa League on Thursday, but Spalletti insists the midfielder was made to pay for Netherlands’ “careless” use of him during the recent international break.
“Strootman was massacred by his national team,” the Coach said after the game.
