Italy’s senior team are facing the U20 squad in a friendly at Coverciano with Ivan Provedel in goal and Giacomo Raspadori and Gianluca Scamacca in attack.

The Azzurri are playing their second friendly in two days, this time at Coverciano, against the U20 squad.

Only the players who didn’t start against Turkey on Tuesday or those who were involved for just a few minutes at the Stadio Dall’Ara last night started today’s match.

As reported by Sky Sport Italia, Spalletti once again switched to a three-man defence putting Provedel in goal, Gatti, Buongiorno, and Calafiori in defence, Bellanova, Frattesi, Fagioli, Folorunsho, and Darmian in midfield, and Raspadori and Scamacca in attack.

Samuele Ricci and Stephan El Shaarawy played for the U20 side and Provedel saved a penalty kick taken by the Roma winger in the first half.

The senior Azzurri squad led 1-0 at the break thanks to a goal from Scamacca.

The Atalanta striker was not available against Turkey as he had played the last game of the season against Atalanta only a few days earlier.

Spalletti will hold a press conference later today and could announce his final 26-man squad list for Euro 2024.
